WHAT EXACTLY WERE THOSE LIFE EXPERIENCES YOU ASK? WELL...
At the age of 17 I was suicidal and diagnosed with clinical depression - I used to listen to a lot Pink Floyd and The Cure in those years.
In the early 1990’s, I was making minimum wage but paying a therapist $100 an hour to ‘fix me’ - it turned out to be an inside job (but it was still transformative).
In 2001 my ex-husband gambled us into $160,000 of credit card debt - that was a big drama lama.
In 2018 my present husband made a catastrophic decision that ignited a year-long court battle and sunk us into financial ruin - I’m glad I’d already navigated the ‘gambling crisis’ so I knew I could weather this storm (I sure know how to pick ‘em don't I?!).
In 2019 I was diagnosed with cancer - that was a biggie, a bit of a mindf*ck if I’m honest.
